Programs & Groups

Holy Nativity offers a number of opportunities to get involved in programs, groups, and other such ministries.

Children and Youth

We welcome Newcomers and Guests during our Sunday Services

CHILDREN ARE WELCOME at both our Sunday Morning services. A table or two in the Friendship Room is equipped with paper and drawing implements for the younger set and older children are encouraged to join our Sunday School (or hang out with Mom and Dad!). We invite children to take the bread and wine to the altar at the offertory.

Holy Nativity is committed to young people of this parish and in the wider community.

“Jesus said -Let the children come to me and do not hinder them. The kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Luke 18:16

Our Youth Ministry “builds out” – as a parish we have three parts:

Sunday School: Our Sunday School meet together during the 10 am service and learn under the guidance of our Sunday School Coordinator and teachers. Each week the children explore the stories of the bible through art, videos, music and stories. Classes are relaxed, engaging and follow the “What’s In The Bible” video series. Classes run from September to June with a break in the summer months.

Servers / Acolytes: Beginning at Grade 4 age, girls and boys are welcome to serve in worship on Sunday mornings as servers/acolytes. These acolytes assist in worship by carrying candles, carrying the cross and the Gospel book. They also assist at the Altar with preparation of the bread and wine for communion. The ministry is not limited to children and youth. All are welcome to join. Training is provided.

Youth Group: This is a youth program for Junior and Senior High school aged young people where fellowship, fun and service are emphasized. Classes, which are held on Sundays at the 10:00 a.m. service, are based on stories from the bible and how we can make them relevant in our lives today. We meet on the first and third Friday (in the evenings) of the month to enjoy fun and fellowship. We plan outings, service projects and events that show we are God’s people, demonstrating God’s love.
